Lakers Vs Trail Blazers

The first game of the series was an embarrassing loss by the Lakers. Despite a historic performance by Lebron James, the other Lakers players did not perform as well as they should. Danny Green and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope shooting the lights out … literally I can’t see where they are shooting the ball. It’s like they had blind folds on. To be fair, the Trail Blazers were firing on all cylinders. They managed to take a game away from the Lakers. But in game 2, the Lakers responded and blew the Trail Blazers out the water by 23 points. Damian Lilliard did exit the game early with a dislocated finger but luckily x-rays came out negative. So Lillard should be back the next game ready to go. Despite showing they are capable of many things, I don’t think the Trail Blazers can take this series this year. I still have the Lakers coming out of this series but not without resistance from Lillard.

Jazz Vs Nuggets

I said this series wasn’t that exciting to me coming into the playoffs. Boy was I wrong! An overtime in the first game and a 57 point barrage by Donovan Mitchell despite a heartbreaking lost to the Nuggets. With that in mind, the Jazz took the lost to heart and came out on top in game 2, evening the series 1-1. I could see this series going to a game 7 with the Nuggets should come out on top. But I wouldn’t count Jazz out just yet.

Rockets Vs Thunder

I thought this series would be more exciting since Russell Westbrook hasn’t played yet but it seems like the Houston is in control of the series and is heading for a sweep. At most a game 5.

Mavericks Vs Clippers

A similar story as the Jazz-Nuggets series. A stellar performance by Luka Dončić but a heartbreaking lost to the Clippers. During the first game, the Mavericks’ star power forward, Kristaps Porzingis, was ejected when getting involved in an argument between Marcus Morris and Luca Dončić. A weak ejection I will add. But that didn’t slow them down as they took game 2 and tied the series 1-1. But I still got Clippers coming out of this series since Paul George had a bad game in game 2.

Bucks Vs Magic

I apologize to the Orlando Magic and Nikola Vucevic. Despite not having a healthy roster, they manage to keep both game a close one and took the second game, making the series 1-1. If Vucevic could keep up this level of play with Aaron Gordon and Michael Carter Williams coming back, they might make this an extremely interesting series to watch. Maybe an upset???

Heat Vs Pacers

I thought this was going to be an interesting series but … change of mind. Jimmy Butler in 4  chop chop!!

Raptors Vs Nets

Raptors in 4! Thank you, next!!

Celtics Vs 76ers

With the Celtics’ young stars in Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Kemba Walker all playing at a high level, they are taking this series and running with it. Despite a dominating performance by Joel Embiid, the 76ers are struggling. Especially since Ben Simmons is out with a knee injury and the other two stars in Tobias Harris and Al Horford are under performing. If the series continue with the Celtics dominating a trying Embiid, it would be sad to see the 76ers exit early in the first round.

We appreciate y’all for letting us be a part of your Break Time.

Signing off, JT
