In light of recent events, I’m going to keep this post short. Even though NBA players boycott both Wednesday and Thursday games, a vote was casted to continue with playoffs. Both the Clippers and Lakers were the only team to vote against the continuation.

Lakers Vs Trail Blazers

With Damian Lillard out with a knee sprain and back home in Portland and the Trail Blazers down 3-1, I think it’s fair to say they reached the end of their season.

Rockets Vs Thunder

An amazing turnaround by the Thunder who were down 2-0 and tied it back to 2-2. As long as the Thunder’s players and potential 6th man of the year Dennis Schröder keep on playing at a high level, they can upset the Rockets.

Jazz Vs Nuggets

Despite me saying this isn’t the most exciting series for me, this series turned out to be the most exciting out of all the first round. With Jamal Murray and Donovan Mitchell dropping 30, 40, and 50 points and a back and forth battle, this series can easily go to this year’s first game 7.

Clippers Vs Mavericks

Luka Doncic is a literal one man army. With that said, he is the catalyst for the Mavericks. If he doesn’t do well, the team can easily get overwhelmed, evident in game 5. Despite Luka’s game winning shot in game 4 in overtime, the Mavericks needs to find other ways to generate offense and improve their defense if they want to get past the Clippers.

Bucks Vs Magic

A stunning start for the Magic, but turns out Giannis is too much for them to handle. With the Magic down 3-1, it’s hard to say that the Magic can crawl out of this one. Congratulations to Giannis Antetokounmpo for winning Defensive Player of the Year.

Pacers Vs Heat

Even though the series ended with the Heat sweeping the Pacers, every game was somewhat close. A good effort by the Pacers since they didn’t have their all star player in Domontas Sabonis.

Celtics Vs 76ers

It’s sad to see a great team get knocked out of the first round. Despite the negative things people are saying by Joel Embiid’s effort, I believe he did everything in his power to keep the 76ers’ season alive. Talking to you Charles Barkley! With rumors going around about trades or coaching changes, I hope the 76ers don’t make a drastic change since they already have a solid foundation.

Raptors Vs Nets

A sweep by the Raptors, dominating the Nets in every game. Nets weren’t suppose to go far since they lost so many players during the season. But they are the team of the east to look out for next season. Congratulations to Nick Nurse for winning Coach of the Year.

We appreciate y’all for letting us be a part of your Break Time.

Signing off, JT
